Sam’s parents’ farm- Coventry
HOW DID YOU MEET?
Shannon’s friend Claire was the physio for the rugby team and had to go to Sams university halls to tape his thumb for the match. Shannon went along with Claire and got chatting to Sam for the first time.
WHERE DID YOU GO ON YOUR FIRST DATE? HOW DID IT GO!?
We went to Westfields shopping centre together. It was an unofficial date as we weren’t yet a couple. In Westfield we went to Wagamamas for lunch (Sams first experience of Wagamamas).
TALK ME THROUGH THE WEDDING PROPOSAL !?
We were together for 7 years before Sam proposed! It was 3 days after our 7 year anniversary on a Friday night in our flat.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING VENUE?
Sam has always wanted to get married on his parents farm. Shannon lived the idea of being able to make it really personal by doing it this way and it also meant more budget for food, drinks and entertainment.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT OR MEMORY OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
The whole day was an absolute dream!
Shannon- when I took a moment to take it all in- listening to the live acoustic guitarist half way through the dinner whilst sitting next to my new husband looking out and seeing all friends and family laughing and enjoying themselves and seeing the kids jumping across the hay bales in the distance.
Sam- seeing Shannon walk into the church and dancing the night away to the live band.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES?
Enjoy every moment of your planning and do exactly what you want to do. Try not to listen to everyone else’s opinions too much but do the good bits advice. It one day out of your whole life so make it perfect for you.
HOW DID I DO AND HOW WERE YOUR IMAGES?
Darren was an absolute superstar! Shannon- I kept calling him my extra bridesmaid as not only did he take the best photos ever but he made sure I was cool and calm throughout the day. Keeping me on track with timings and doing over and above what we had asked of him.
Sam- to this day I look back at the photos and am so glad we chose Darren. The quality of the photos and the amount of natural shots he got were unimaginable. Highly recommended.

Our band were the best ever! Another huge highlight of the day. The dance floor was full all night. They are a party band based in SW London but will travel all over the country-
