Im very lucky to get to shoot weddings at Nuthurst grange on a regular basis and this one from a few seasons ago now really was an incredible day. Follows is what I saw during the couples most special day but before we go into that, here is a little more of Kate & James’ Nuthurst Grange Wedding Photography wedding story….

WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED?

August 2017

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED?

St Philip’s Cathedral followed by reception at Nuthurst Grange

HOW DID YOU MEET?

On a pub crawl around the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham

WHERE DID YOU GO ON YOUR FIRST DATE? HOW DID IT GO!?

Our first date was Alton Towers – sure way to have fun! It clearly went well 🙂

TALK ME THROUGH THE WEDDING PROPOSAL !?

7 years later James proposed during sunset on a beach in Borneo (where we had been 6 years earlier on our first holiday together)

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING VENUE?

Nuthurst has the whole package – beautiful venue, great set up, relaxed environment, excellent food, very flexible to our requests and a fantastic wedding co-ordinator.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT OR MEMORY OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?

The ceremony – we got married at St Philip’s Cathedral in Birmingham and it was very special.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES?

If you can, have a few weeks keeping it to yourselves and enjoy it! Once you tell everyone the wedding wheels set in motion. Get a spreadsheet and be super organised – book your venue then your suppliers ASAP as good people (like Darren!) get booked way in advance!

HOW DID I DO AND HOW WERE YOUR IMAGES?

Darren was amazing and everything you want from a photographer – very professional, seemed to be everywhere at once snapping away, but crucially our guests said they didn’t notice the photographer, which we think means he did a great job blending in and taking natural photos. The quality of his photos is brilliant, he’s very talented and they really tell the story of the day. He also prepared our wedding book and we love it!
